    WorkWell Systems Appoints Steven Schickler to Executive Chairman

    Duluth, Minnesota. – March 31, 2011 – WorkWell Systems, one of the fastest growing workplace injury/illness prevention and return to work/other activities service providers in North America, announces the addition of Steve Schickler as Executive Chairman with both board and operating management responsibilities. Current Board chairman, Craig Horton said: “Steve Schickler brings to WorkWell Systems a wealth of experience and success in meeting and then exceeding the expectations of customers in every firm that he has lead.  It is our expectation at WorkWell that Steve’s executive leadership style will translate to both robust organic as well as strategic growth for the company.”

    In this new role, Schickler will head and continue to build a strong employer centered injury/illness avoidance and return to work/other activities practice that will allow the company to take full advantage of the economic recovery and increased hiring in its large employer target market.

    Schickler comes to WorkWell with 30 years of experience in growing and transforming niche businesses into market leaders.  Most recently Steve took over leadership for a lifestyle, health and fitness company and its subsequent success resulted in its acquisition by Blue Cross division in 2010.  Earlier he rejuvenated Seattle Coffee Company by altering the company’s strategy and operations, creating national partnerships and ultimately leading an acquisition by industry leading Starbucks in 2003. Previously, while leading marketing at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, he helped lead the company’s growth to become one of the nation’s largest packaged goods ice cream companies. Steve’s success has been recognized by NASDAQ/Ernst & Young with his Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1996.

    Schickler has an MBA from New York University, a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. in Marketing from Baruch College.
